Wow, a lot of things have happened this week! I love the Tongan program so far! All of my fears are gone. My companion - Elder Neiufi is the best. He is one of the hardest working companions that I've ever had, and he is super hilarious! His English is pretty good, but there are still a lot of things that he doesn't understand. For example, we were teaching a less active member and after reading Ether 12:4 I asked them how faith in Christ has been an "anchor" in their life. Elder Neiufi thought I said how has faith in Christ caused "anger" in your life. He was surprised and tried to tie anger into faith. He said something like "I know when we have faith it can be hard and sometimes makes us angry..." It was funny. But he is great. He is helping me learn a little bit of Tongan. Obviously I'm not going to be fluent in 3 months, but I hope to understand a bit. We've already seen miracles! Last week (my 1st week here) we found 5 new investigators! One is named Sione Tongamoa. We found him on the street and started to talk with him. He didn't seem super interested, but said we could come back. 2 days later we came back and brought Huhane - an awesome recent convert. We walked up to him (he sits on a chair on the corner of the street all night long) and the first thing he said to us was "You guys know that I'm a Methodist, I told you I already have a church".
