Hello Family!
Well transfer calls came, and I am still here in San Francisco! With Elder Kesler! He is a great companion, and a life long friend. He is going to marry Kenna . I'm pretty excited to stay here. Our investigators are doing great, and we keep seeing miracles! Matt Garcia, is the most prepared soul that I have ever taught on my mission! He is soooo excited to be baptized on October 9th! At church yesterday (his 2nd time) he was telling all the members about his baptism. During our lessons, the first 5 minutes he shares what he has learned from reading the Book of Mormon, and he already has a powerful testimony! He told us that since he has been learning about the gospel, and reading the Book of Mormon, he has noticed differences in his life. He said that he doesn't laugh at crude things that he used to, or take pleasure in things that are not good. He is having a change of heart! Because of his "easiness and willingness to believe" the spirit is teaching him, and he is seeing the blessings of the gospel in his life! I love teaching Matt! It is awesome because he was referred to us by a less active, and he is being fellowshipped by a recent convert!
So Rex finally came back from his trip to Las Vegas, and we have a lot of catch-up to do with him. Tomorrow we have a lesson with him, and Bishop Hoyt (Sunset Ward) is coming. We plan to reset his baptism date.
Angelica was also on a trip this week, so we haven't seen her, but she is still awesome, I'm sure.
This past week we were blessed to find 4 new investigators! One is named Maddie, a 10 year old girl in a part member family, another in Pankaj, a media referral, another is Jaroslav, a foreign exchange student from the Czech Republic, and the last one is Pa, she has been coming to church for a long time with her husband who is a member, and we just invited them to take the lessons! So we have a lot of brand new investigators to work with!
I LOVE being a missionary! The past few weeks, I have been so grateful for the opportunity that I have to be serving the Lord. I feel like my testimony has grown, and we have been blessed with so many miracles.
This past week there has been a lot of things on my mind that have troubled me. Today was a crazy P-day, because we went over to Oakland because I wanted to talk with President Wade about them. I love President Wade. It was a neat experience to sit with him and tell him what was on my mind. We talked for about an hour, and at the end he gave me a priesthood blessing. It was a neat experience that I will never forget. I love knowing that through the Atonement of Christ we can overcome anything! Anything trial we go through in this life is just temporary, and if we are obedient all things will work out.
I love you family, and I am thankful that I have the best family in the world!
