Yesterday was Bill Scott's baptism! He had been taught by a lot of missionaries and finally got baptized. He was found almost a year ago - 2 missionaries just started talking to him on the street. It took him a while, but he finally made it. Something that I've learned on my mission so far is to always give 100% no matter what. You may not see the effects of your effort or "the fruits of your labor" but as you try your best, you never know what positive effect you may have on someone's life. I always want to see an immediate result to my efforts, but sometimes that's not what the Lord's plan is. I know that if I do my best to be worthy and then follow the spirit I'll be the missionary/person that the Lord wants me to be and accomplish his plan in serving the people in my area. Bill has come a long way and it was the combined effort of a lot of people. Last night at his baptism, a lot of people came to support him. We had 4 of our investigators there - The Satya family (Ana, Soojay, and Mita) and Alexa. Elder Wickel baptized him and I confirmed him. The baptism was at 8:00 pm because he didn't get off work until 7:30 pm. The baptism ended up starting at 8:30 pm because Bill had a friend Antioch coming, but she ran out of gas, and didn't end up coming.
