Wow, things have been crazy and busy! I haven't been able to write since I've been here, but I'm here in San Francisco! Actually we live in South San Francisco, but both the areas we cover (San Francisco 1st (YSA) and the North portion of the South City ward) are both in San Francisco. Wow it sure is different over here on the peninsula. On thing is that it is SUPER cold! The fog will roll in, in the middle of the day! Also there is A LOT mor people to talk to here in the city - especially when we go downtown. The Downtown area is crazy! There are so many people and they all seem in a hurry to go somewhere. We are teaching some awesome investigators here. First off - Mark Scott was baptized two days ago! Mark is cool. He is solid. While we were teaching Mark he was a recovering homosexual. He had a hard time accepting that that type of lifestyle was wrong, because his whole adult life he has been in relationships with men. The first time he was interviewed by Pres. Wade, President said that he wasn't ready and needed more time to prepare. So we worked with him and we fasted with him, and the spirit taught him. President interviewed him again and he passed. It was so awesome to see him baptized. The gospel of Jesus Christ and the power of the atonement truly changes lives. Mark still may struggle and be tempted, but he has the spirit to lead and guide him.
