Hi Family!
Well my toe is still nasty. I called the mission nurse and she told me to be patient. Then yesterday, I talked to Mark (the person we just baptized) because he is a surgeon resident at UCSF, and he said that I should get surgery right away! So, the nurse is going to look at it again tomorrow and we will see what happens!
This week was a little slow, but we did have Sis Webb's baptism! Amy didn't get baptized, because she wants her boyfriend to baptize her, but he has some worthiness issues to work out with the Bishop. But she is still solid. But, Sis. Webb's baptism was so good! She was praising the Lord all night! We actually had to have President Wade interview her for her baptism, so on Friday night we had a member drive her across the bay, over to Oakland. After the interview, President called us and said, "Elder Cook! You didn't tell me you were sending me a Pentecostal preacher! Holy smokes brother you've got to warn me!" It was funny. We had a good laugh, and he thanked us for being the best missionaries in the mission! (just kidding he didn't say that, but I'm sure he wanted to) She is one of my favorite investigators that I've taught. After we confirmed her in sacrament meeting on Sunday, she did a little dance in front of everyone because she was so excited! I love her! Now we hope to start teaching her 12 year old daughter.
So all is well. Michelle (the Chinese girl) is going to be out of town for a whole month! So that was a bummer. She is going to visit her sister in Canada, and her sister doesn't like Mormons, so we hope she doesn't get antied! Michelle is solid, so she'll be good.
Thank you so much for sending the camera card and my debit card - I got them both! The camera card works great, and my camera isn't broke! So I'll send the other one home - it has a lot of pictures on it!
Well family I love you! I hope that you have a great week!
-Elder Cook
