So we had quite the rough week - all of our appointment seemed to fall through! ON Sat. last week, we had exchanges with the Danville Elders and E. Kershisnik came into my area. It was a frustrating exchange. All of our lessons cancelled! But all is well. The week ended with Veronica's baptism! It was great. We taught her for exactly 1 month. She is super prepared. Her and Alexa have become really good friends! Alexa said the closing prayer at Veronica's baptism. That alone was a miracle! Before we met Alexa (less than 2 months ago) she didn't even know how to pray! She wasn't even afraid to pray in front of 50 people! So it was great. Chris Vanhooven, aka Papas Fritas (Brianna Vanhooven's dad, but since Veronica now lives with the Vanhooven's she calls him dad) baptized her and a member of the ward - Giancarlo Santacruz confirmed her. Bro Weller - the Walnut Creek stake high counselor over missionary work, came to the baptism, then afterwards took us out to dinner. It was a good night. Now that Alexa and Veronica got baptized, our teaching pool has been a little dry. But yesterday at church, a member introduced us to her non member boyfriend who is interested in learning more! We have aa lesson with him later tonight.
